Lady of the Circle in the Oaks

A Witan Shrine of the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca

Greetings and well met to all who have found this site.

So you are interested in witchcraft?  Just exactly what is it anyway?  Can Witches point their fingers and make stuff happen?  Or is it a wiggle of the nose?  Do they ride on brooms?

No...

Wicca is a religion.  Although we are not primarily concerned with magic we do embrace it.  Wicca is about your place in the Universe.  It is about revering nature and the Universe and all of its forces.

It is about learning and growing spiritually.  It is about becoming all you can be.  It is about learning from life's lessons.

As a religion, Wicca is a way of understanding and interacting with Deity and the Universe.  Wicca is a life-affirming path of growth.

Our religion is based on the reverence for Nature and her cycles and respect for the earth and all her creatures.  We are taught to see and revere all the forces of the Universe and to see these forces reflected all around us and within each person and thing.

We believe that Deity comes to each of us in a way we can best understand.  Each persons path to the Divine is unique and sacred.  No one has the right to criticize anothers walk with the Divine.

We celebrate the cycles of the moon and the seasons of the earth.  Generally we see the Divine as having both a Mother and Father aspect.

Lady of the Circle in the Oaks is a Witan Shrine of the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca located in Lexington, North Carolina. The Priest/Shrine Keeper is Rev. Chuck Chapman (Onyx). It is operated under the imperium of Rev. Bruce Richards HP, of The Church of the Circle in the Oaks in Lady's Island, South Carolina.

The purpose of this shrine is to provide the Correllian and larger pagan community a public  spiritual home here in Davidson county.  We will provide religious and magical services to the best of our ability and within the bounds of our limited resources, in accordance to free will and with the highest good as its intent. Furthermore it is also available for interfaith education and support.

Lady of the Circle in the Oaks is registered as a "church", so all donations (material or monetary) are tax deductible.  Our secretary will be happy to provide any donaters with a receipt to use for tax purposes.  The leadership of this organization operates "pro bono".  However, we do have a need for funding (or material donations) for the procurement of needs such as incense, candles and other consumables, as well more permanent items such as ritual tools and such.
